The name Samson from our Samson Boxers kennel name is a way of my showing tribute to the boy who began it all Samson’s King Solomon.

My family purchased Sam in mid-January of 1987 and boxers have been part of my life ever since.  Samson was shown briefly, and quite unsuccessfully as he was truly of pet quality.  However, whatever Sam lacked in confirmation he made up for in personality and temperament, and this is what has forever endeared me to the breed.  I unfortunately had to send Sam to the Rainbow Bridge in April of 1999.

Samson Boxers was born of the ideology that this breed could combine health, working ability, temperament, and correct structure.  To help us achieve this objective we are actively involved with Conformation, Schutzhund, Obedience, and Therapy Dog work.

All of our dogs are part of the family sleeping wherever they want whenever they want – yes I have spent much time with my chiropractor working out kinks caused by sleeping in some very precarious positions while making room for my kids.

Currently we have a 3 dog household:

Brutus is a White German Shepherd, who I have had as a faithful companion for the past 5 years.  Brutus is a Registered Saint John’s Therapy Dog, and lives to visit with anyone who might have a cookie in his or her pocket.  Brutus also has an incredible hunt drive and will be titled in tracking very shortly.

I purchased Cooper (Ch. Bayridge’s Initial Review, BH) the first of January 2001 and what a star he has been taking numerous group placements, puppy groups, as well as puppy shows.  I cannot thank Debbie Schenher of Bayridge Boxers enough for placing this special young man with me and then allowing me to run with his natural talent.  You can check out Cooper doing what Cooper loves best on the Working Page.

Toni (Emberstouch'N Samson's Miss TNT) came to us after a long and exhaustive search for a foundation bitch.  We are truly excited about the prospect of this little girl.  She has the drives for Obedience and Schutzhund, and the attitude and proper structure for the Conformation ring.  What else could we ask for!?  We purchased Toni from Jayde Beeching of Emberstouch Boxers.
